The Kaliabor College of Education was established on the basis of a resolution adopted in a public meeting held on 12-01-1992. The college was inaugurated on 5th August 1992 y prof. Dr. D.P. Boruah, Ex Vice-Chancellor, Gauhati University, and functioning from the academic session 1992-93. It is one of the most distinguished teacher training institutions of Assam. The college is situated in a historical based area that is surrounded by a natural setting. It is at a distance of about two hundred meters distance from the 37 No. N.H.
Presently the college has 10 Bighas of land where the college building is located.
